Gen X Timeshare Crowd

Thirty somethings with two kids were in middle school when the Trade Towers went down and most of them only know Bill Clinton as “Hillary’s husband”.  Its a different generation AND SO they identify with different stuff.  When it comes to vacation they are not necessarily looking for a golf resort with a spa offering mud baths and linen table cloths on the dining tables.  They, instead,  may like the idea of a zip line course, hiking trail, yogo on a mountain top or a virtual reality arcade as amenities or those that can be exchanged to.  The first time share presentation I went to had an old lady playing the piano in the lobby and I was given a custom made, frosted, glass ashtray as gift when I walked in.  We don’ t market that way any more and we must be careful to not get stuck in the past when it comes to marketing and sales efforts.
